EXTRAORDINARY ME

I'M BACK from my Thailand shopping trip and it's really a shopping trip believe me.. On the 1st March, we meet about 4.45am in the budget terminal Our flight time is 6.20am if I am not wrong..

And guess what?? The plane only take off at 7+am close to 8am... Tiger airway is really a budget airline and my first experience with Tiger Airway I felt it's quite a bad one..

They keep delaying as the engineers are trying to solve the problem as the plane got electric shock for like 3 times before taking off and all the light were out, engine went silent for a while.. It was quite scary and the landing part almost made me puke out.. It was very bad..

Upon reaching Thailand, we went to look for a taxi to our hotel.. And we got a van as there are 8 of us..
We thought 1,600 baht was quite reasonable so we took it..
But we only realized we somehow got conned by the airport
taxi service after staying for a few days in Thai..

We went to check-in at Bangkok Palace Hotel, went to our rooms to rest for a while before setting off...
We were very hungry as we have not eaten a meal from like 4am - 1pm And so we went to 7-11 for a quick bite, their hotdog bun.. After that, we head on to the weekend market Jaktuchak Market

with over 15,000 shops..

The 4 of them took tut-tut while we took a cab

Yes and we hailed a taxi the driver quote us a price and say that he don't mind that the 8 of us get into his car but with one condition which is he will drop us at a place and we have
to help him by walking in,have a drink and walk around..
He says that he will get a stamp if we went there and walk for about 15mins before be send us to Jaktuchak Market which is 4minutes interval from that place..
So we agreed as we are already in his cab.. But in the end guess where the hell did he brought us to? It was the Jewelry factory..We were like half-demoralized.. But we did enter the factory, grab a free drink and walk around.. But we came out in less than 10 minutes and the cab driver was like angry la he said "No No I ask you all to go in 15min but u all come out 5min, so I got no stamp"
Then we were like quite stunned and he said he doesn't want to drive us to Jaktuchak anymore and so we walked off for another taxi to our destination and we did not pay him at all hahaha... Ok and when we reached Jaktuchak,
we started off with a T-shirt shop and we have already
took a few t-shirt each and started to bargain with the seller...
It was our virgin try in bargaining moreover it was the first shop we visited...
The seller was quite attitude and refused to give a discount at all..So we put down
everything and went out...
It was a good choice cos we found more shops selling T-shirts at a lower price and seller is friendly.. We also bought alot from him..
The boyfriends were quite pathetic cos the ladies
kept on buying stuffs and they have to carry them all ahaha..And most of the shops are selling ladies wear...
We were damm tired and hungry.. We have not eaten any food other than the hot dog bun.. I think we only covered 1/4 of Jaktuchak market on
the first day..But we already bought quite a lot on the first day.. After that, we went back to our hotel to put down things,
rest for a few minute before heading to the nearest western restaurant for our lunch+dinner..

Then we went to the night market which is called the
Pratunum Night Market...

There were not much things there as their things were quite old already.. The second day, went to have breakfast which was
provided in our hotel then went off to Jaktuchak Market
again as we have not cover even half of the market..
Bought tops, bottoms,accessories, clothes for brownie...
They have everything you want there including my Hello Kitty...
Wanted to go back and get the lovely Hello Kitty box
but could not find the shop as the market is real big can..

Before going to MBK, 8 of us squeezed in a cab again hahaha...

We stayed there for about 4-5 hours before going back to hotel to put our stuffs and went to MBK to shop again as well as having our lunch there in a Marche-like concept place...
We continued to shop and bargain in MBK and I spent my money like a running tap... And if you look at the way we are bargaining, it will be so funny especially the guys lol...

After MBK, we went back to hotel, ordered Pizza for dinner..

Then went down to the hotel's bar and we shared a Chivas which was 2,000 baht which is about $90..Each person pays only about 12 Sing dollars...

However their bar closes quite early about 1am or 1.30am if I am not wrong..

The third day which was the last day we could shop, we went to Platinum mall where by it was a wholesale fashion mall.. Some requires you to get 3 pieces or more for a wholesale price.. I almost finished spending my $500 and still went to change another $50 and almost all of us have not enough money to spend and thus frequent to the money changer there..haha.. After shopping in Platinum mall, we went back to hotel, pack some of our things as we will be checking out early in the morning the next day... Then, the 4 of us, Ying Pei, Nick, Darling n I went for 1 hour of foot massage then Full Manicure and pedicure including nail art for Ying Pei n me..

The attitude of the aunty doing nails for us is very bad and we were quite fed up with her..Maybe it's communication problem as she on't quite understand what we want..Anyway the massage was shiok... And the 4 of the rest, Clement, Katherine, Brian and Shu Ting went to salon to do their hair.. We then went back to hotel to have cup noodles and eggs for our dinner cos we have to save a bit as we were quite broke on the last day..haha.. We then went to the night market which I think we shouldn't have gone to..

The kind of price they gave us was like too extravagant and trying to con us.. The next day, we almost could not come back to Singapore as we were reaching the gate, the screen there stated that boarding CLOSED..
Then we started running... And luckily we were not refused to board the plane..It was a tiring and definitely fun n memorable trip with the clique.. Are we going to bangkok again soon? lol...
